Zakros
Zakros it's a traditional rural village (with a population of 640 inhabitants - source Wikipedia.gr from the national census of 2011) surrounded by olive groves (its main wealth) and between rough almost deserted mountains, in a landscape with strong contrasts and of sure tourist interest.
In the village there is the stop of the regional bus line Ktel, departing from Sitia, direction Palekastro and continuing on to Kato Zakros, the frequency is 3 times a week in summer.
Zakros is located at the coordinates +35°6'46.348"North,+26°13'9.072"East and is the nearest village to Xerocampos and Kato Zakros (both at 10 minutes drive) connected by 10 Km of panoramic and enchanting roads.
